The Student Counselling Service
At FBT we understand that student life can sometimes be a stressful experience; moving to a new part of the world, dealing with demanding coursework, meeting new people and much more besides. To address these issues and provide students with the support they need, the Student Counselling Service (SCS) is here to help.
Staff at SCS are here to listen to you; no matter what your personal or emotional difficulties are. Stressed or anxious about school work? Relationship problems? Or just feel like you need to talk to someone? We will be able to help you through these difficulties, allowing you to successfully complete your studies at FBT.
SCS offers plenty of self-help resources and information about common issues experienced by students. We also maintain close links with service providers in the community, referring students to outside agencies, resources and professionals, when appropriate.

In order to schedule your first appointment with a counsellor, you must fill out the Intake Form and email it to email@example.com We will review your form and contact you within a week to arrange your Intake Appointment.
During the intake appointment, you and the counsellor will discuss your concerns. Together, you will decide upon the best counselling option for your needs. The intake appointment usually lasts approx. 45 - 50 minutes.
SCS is based at our London campus, with a counsellor at FBT for face-to-face appointments every three or four weeks. In between the counsellor's visits to FBT, it is still possible to get in touch with a counsellor to receive support. Counselling sessions can be arranged over the phone, or using video-conferencing technology (e.g. Skype).
We know that each student's needs are unique. So, after receiving the intake form, the counsellor will work with you to find the best way support can be provided.
