David Laws
David knew his passion and talent lied in teaching from an early age, but he was just uncertain about what he would like to teach. It was for this reason that his early teaching years were spent working in a Secondary and Primary school in Essex.
From here, David did a brief stint working as an accountant, which was where he found the subject that he was truly fervent about. After which he started working in the Education department for ACCA for the duration of two years. From there, he moved on to greener pastures and found his niche lecturing ACCA. Dave commenced lecturing in 1997. David is not only dedicated to his students, but fanatical about ACCA. This combination together with his previous work experience offers students incalculable expertise and insider knowledge with regards to the ACCA examinations. He has not only worked on developing and setting ACCA examinations, but has also been responsible for marking these papers. From this point of view, David is truly an asset at FBT as he knows exactly what criteria is involved in setting these papers in addition to commonly made exams mistakes. Dave is not only an excellent and passionate lecturer, but he offers students quality tips and knowledge with regards to exam success. David’s enthusiasm stems from the great deal of satisfaction he gets from helping people to achieve success and obtain a qualification.
