Career Surgery

FBT works with their students to provide value added careers advice through our careers advice workshops and surgeries. Individual appointments need to be arranged by students

Once you have arranged an appointment with the Careers Surgery you will:

  • Be assigned a careers advisor who will work with you on a one-to-one basis helping you to create strategies for reaching your career targets.
  • Have your skills and abilities evaluated, with any skill gaps tackled through an individually-tailored solution programme designed by your personal careers advisor.
  • Be offered training to prepare you for your forthcoming interviews and placements if needed, including how to understand a potential employer’s needs.
  • Have the opportunity to meet with your careers advisor on a regular basis to discuss and work on your professional targets and action plans, advice on CV writing and interview techniques will also be included
  • Take part in tailor-made mock interviews, with evaluation and feedback to help build your confidence and experience in this area
