Financial Modelling

Excel Financial Modelling courses are available throughout the year. These one day courses provide students with the practical skills needed for excel. These courses are available for beginners as well as advanced users.

There are three different levels:

  • Level 1 - Excel Essentials 
  • Level 2 - Excel Tools and Techniques
  • Level 3 - Excel Financial Modelling

These courses can be booked as stand alone programme (1 day in duration), as part of Compete 1st class or career professional development. Students who participate in the various levels below will obtain knowledge and competence in the following areas:

use advanced formatting techniques
use the Auditing Tools to track information
use charts to display financial data

Level 2 - Microsoft Excel Tools and Techniques
use multiple worksheets, workbooks and workspaces
work with Financial functions

Level 3 - Microsoft Excel Financial Modelling
Use multiple worksheets, workbooks and workspaces
Work with financial functions
Use What-if analysis to forecast budgets & cash flows
Use charts to display financial data
Use macros to automate your work environment

 

Level l - Excel Essentials

Students will need to have an understanding of the operating systems Windows 98/NT/2000/ME. Students will learn the basics of creating, editing and saving worksheets, working with formulas and functions to calculate and return values. Delegates will learn how to change the appearance of a page, including adding headers, footers and format data.

Level 2 - Microsoft Excel Tools and Techniques

Prior to taking this course, students should have an understanding of the following operating systems: Windows 98/NT/2000/ME. In addition, students should have a good understanding of Microsoft Excel or alternatively have attended our Essential (level 1) course.

From this one day course, students will learn how to use essential tools and techniques available in Excel that will enable them to produce reports for financial management. This course introduces students to financial topics available in Excel, namely: Financial Functions, Auditing and Charts.

Level 3 - Microsoft Excel Financial Modelling

Experience required

Students should not only have experience using Windows 98/NT/2000/XP but also a thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel or have attended our Essentials (level 1) and Tools and Techniques (level 2) courses.

This one day course will take users to an expert level of knowledge using financial topics available in Excel such as Financial Functions, Auditing Pivot Table Reports and Charts and (What-if) analysis. Students will also be able to create macros to automate their work.

£600.00 for all courses (all three days)
