Part-time Postgraduate Programmes

Whether you need to study in the evenings, at weekends or both, we have the part-time postgraduate courses with everything you need. Our central Birmingham campus gives you access to the best tutors, facilities and learning tools when it suits you. We ensure you succeed in your studies, and get the career you really want.

You will also have access to our award-winning online learning platform: InterActive. This provides an extra level of support by delivering HD studio lectures and full learning resources straight to your screen.

Course Structure

Each course lasts for 24+ months: 18 months (minimum) of study modules, and another 6 months to complete your dissertation.

The programmes break down into:

• MSc Marketing = 6 modules each lasting 3 months
• MSc Finance = 6 modules each lasting 3 months
• MBA = 6 modules each lasting 2-3 months

Each module consists of 2 study workshops, a revision session and an assessment. This consists of 30 hours teaching time, and another 2 hours of assessment time for each module. The workshops take place over one mandatory Saturday class, and either a Sunday class or 2 evening classes each week. Revision and learning via InterActive is also included.

Current postgraduate programmes offered part-time at FBT are: MBA, MSc in Finance, MSc in Finance & Accounting and MSc in Marketing.

Students are responsible for shipping and handling costs. Part-time students can collect the iPad 2 from the campus they will be attending.
