Part time Courses

Completed enrolment forms must be accompanied by payment in full or completed employer authorisation (see point 2).

FBT can only accept an employer authorisation form if the relevant employer has approved credit terms with FBT and payment in full will be due within 30 days of each invoice date. The employer is fully responsible for the payment of amounts due in every circumstance, including termination of employment and/or course cancellation. FBT reserves the right at any time to dismiss any student for non-payment of fees or other amounts due.

Employers paying for a student’s participation in a course may be sent the relevant student’s test results, progress and attendance records.

Prices are subject to change and FBT reserves the right to charge additional amounts. Any additional amounts charged will be notified to the student/employer in writing within no less than 7 days.

Cancellation: Course cancellation requires that written notification be received by FBT at least 2 weeks prior to the course commencement date. FBT reserves the right to raise a £100 charge per course as a cancellation will be invoiced by FBT and payable by either the student or the employer in these circumstances. Full course fees will be payable if less than 2 weeks notice is given and no refund will be made in such circumstances. Refunds are not available of any amounts paid for study materials, where the materials have been supplied or sent to the student.

FBT reserves the right to use its discretion to conclude whether to make refunds in particular instances which fall outside point 5.

Deferral: Where the full payment has been received, an enrolment can be deferred for one relevant sitting, provided FBT receives written notice at least 2 weeks prior to the course commencement date. A basic administration charge of £50 (inc. VAT) per course will be invoiced by and payable to FBT. No refunds will be made and amounts paid for courses will be carried forward accordingly. It may be necessary to purchase new course materials upon continuation of deferred study. These are not included in amounts previously paid and will be invoiced separately.

FBT will ensure that study materials will be available before or on the first day of the course, but no warranty or guarantee is given to this regard.

Dishonored cheques will result in a charge from FBT of £25 (inc VAT) to cover administration and band charges, as well as the risk of admission to study being refused. FBT reserves the right to report continual offenders may be reported to their relevant professional body for unprofessional conduct.

Transfer your PASS Assurance / Guarantee Scheme a. Written statement or proof of eligibility for PASS Assurance with a previous training provider, must be provided. b. Students transferring their PASS Assurance / Guarantee will be eligible to attend a FREE Resit Course (where a Resit course is unavailable a Tuition course will be offered) in the same paper as the original Assurance / Guarantee was for c. Students transferring PASS Assurance / guarantee will charged for resit material, please see (d) below. d. Material provided will be resit notes, revision kit, revision cards (where applicable) and 3 mock examinations.
Full Time Courses

Students studying under a student visa must enroll on a course that complies with the current home office regulations i.e. a minimum of 15 hours per week study time. Study and other entry requirements are entirely down to the student and FBT accepts no responsibility in this regard.

Enrolment forms must be accompanied by full payment or a minimum deposit as outlined on the enrolment form. Please note all deposits are non refundable and non transferable.

After acceptance letters have been issued by FBT for course enrolment, no refunds or course deferrals will be made, other than in the circumstances of visa refusal.

In the circumstances of refusal of a visa application, the amounts paid will be refunded, less an administration charge of £100 (including VAT). To receive this refund FBT will require production of the following documentation:
· Copy of the visa refusal letter (APP200) · Copy of the student's passport, showing a signature and photograph
In circumstances, where the student was not the payee, an authorisation letter from the student instructing FBT to reimburse the repayment needs to be received.

FBT reserves the right to terminate enrolment at any time for nonpayment of fees or any other reason, in its sole discretion

FBT reserves the right to terminate enrolment at any time for non compliance of attendance requirements. FBT reserve the right in these cases to inform the appropriate authorities, including the British Home Office.

Full course fees are payable two weeks prior to course commencement or on enrolment for courses that at the time of booking are less than two weeks from commencement.

The British Home Office specify attendance requirements for all students studying under a student visa and for visa renewal. Please note you as the student are responsible for signing the attendance register. Attendance registers will be circulated twice daily.

Students who wish to extend their student visa will not be issued with the appropriate documentation unless they have re enrolled and paid 50% of their course fees.

Dishonored cheques will incur a charge of £25 (including VAT) to cover administration and bank charges. FBT reserves the right to report persistent offenders to the appropriate professional body for unprofessional conduct.

All study materials are supplied by FBT Publishing and will be supplied on the first day of each course. Students wishing to collect their study material are able to do so, once full course fees have been paid.

Two weeks written notice is required for course cancellation, please write to the Admissions Office. A cancellation charge of £100 plus VAT will be made to cover administration costs.

Full Time Transfer Deposit Scheme a. Written statements of deposits from previous training provider must be provided upon booking on an FBT Full Time Course under the 'Transfer Deposit Scheme'.
b. Students wishing to 'Transfer your Deposit' must pay in full for at least 3 papers in the first term.
c. Deposits transferred must be for a like for like course and up to a maximum value of £100 per paper.
Open Learning

All distance learning materials are supplied by FBT Publishing.

Distance learning amounts quoted include VAT where applicable, but exclude any taxes or duties imposed by countries outside the UK.

On completion of the enrolment form and prior to dispatch of the study materials full payment is required.

Please notify FBT in writing of any deferral, this can then be processed to the following exam sitting. An administration charge of £25 (inc VAT) will be invoiced by FBT. It may be necessary to purchase new course materials upon the continuation of deferred study. These are not included in amounts previously paid and will be invoiced separately.

Refunds are only available on study materials returned in a saleable condition to FBT Publishing within 14 days of receipt. Postage is not refundable.

Courses are not transferable between students.
FBT Loyalty Scheme

Resit courses attended as part of a PASS Assurance package or Transfer your PASS Assurance Scheme are note eligible as part of the Loyalty Scheme (as Loyalty value would have already been given on initial course booking) and do not apply.

Vouchers will be issued on the invoiced value after discounts, other promotional offers etc.

Sponsored students vouchers will be forwarded to the company or sponsor, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

All course fees need to be paid before loyalty vouchers are issued.
FBT Study Materials

All study materials are supplied by FBT Publishing and included within the published course fees.

FBT acts as an agent for FBT Publishing and will collect amounts relating to material via the course fee.
FBT Pass Assurance
The terms and conditions of the FBT Pass Assurance, which applies to ACCA and CIMA, are as follows:

All amounts due must be paid in before taking the examinations.

Students must attempt the real exam.

In an event of a failure, proof of the failure must be provided to FBT on application for the Resit or Revision course.
-
In the event of failure, a student will be entitled to attend a Resit or Revision course for the same paper as the PASS Assurance was issued for.
-
The FREE Revision or Resit course must be attempted at the next examination sitting. After that point, the Pass Assurance will lapse.

The Pass Assurance is not transferable.

The following material will be provided FREE of charge as part of the PASS Assurance scheme: Resit Notes or Revision Notes.
General

All amounts quoted include VAT, where applicable.

FBT reserves the right to charge interest at 10% per annum on unsettled amounts.

All fees exclude amounts payable to the professional body for student registration, exemptions and examination entries, which are payable by the students. FBT accepts no responsibility for this.

Computer Based Examination fees are non-returnable and non-transferable.

Any refund made by FBT will be made to the original payer.

All deposits received are for the single purpose of reserving a course place.

Payment or Deposits received but not utilised or refunded in accordance with these terms and conditions will be forfeited to FBT.

Computer Based Assessments and Examination Fees include disbursements payable to the relevant examining body and a handling fee charged by FBT, which included VAT.

FBT reserves the right to change the course tutors, dates and locations.

Courses are not transferable between students.

Students are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a manner demonstrating respect for FBT, its staff, fellow students and property. Breaches of the student code of conduct can amount to gross misconduct, which may lead to expulsion from study.

Liability for FBT and FBT Publishing for losses arising from their negligence (except in the case of liability for death or personal injury), breach of contract or otherwise will be limited to the full amounts paid by the relevant student for the particular courses. Except in the case of liability for death and personal injury, such companies will have no liability for indirect or consequential loss or damage.

All courses are non-residential unless specified otherwise. FBT will, if required, assist by providing a list of accommodation for non-residential courses, but it is the students’ responsibility to make their own accommodation arrangements.

These terms and conditions shall constitute the entire terms and conditions between the parties. Variations will only be permitted if they are agreed to in writing by FBT. All other terms, express or implied by statute or otherwise are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

No failure or delay by either party in exercising any rights under these terms and conditions shall be deemed to be a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other provision.

If any provision of these terms and conditions is held by any court or other competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the other provisions of these terms and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected.
