Kick Start your Open Learning Studies

Our 'kick start' your studies programme can be added to any of our open learning courses, to provide you with a one day overview of the paper you are studying, exam guidance and tutorial contact.

Open Learning programmes are eligible for the FBT Loyalty Scheme.

We believe that open learning should not be a solitary process

• Our experienced team of professional tutors are totally dedicated to offering you the highest quality of personal support.
• Our tutor support is available when you need them, out of hours by phone, email and discussion forum.
• Weekly discussion forums provide not only tutorial support but also interaction with other open learning students.

We believe that open learning should not be regarded as a second best study option

• Attending classroom tuition is not always possible, so our vision is to provide an open learning product that provides students with what they want.   We have taken feedback from traditional Distance Learning students to create a product that provides the next best study programme to classroom study. 
• Study notes are included in all FBT Open Learning Courses, which will provide you with the same material product as FBT classroom students.
• All open learning students will receive a tutor / mentor for the duration of their course.
• Consistent, quality feedback will be provided on all progress tests and mock examinations submitted.

We believe that open learning should be structured

• FBT Open Learning material has been developed to provide sequential learning, with test based assessments built in throughout your programme, allowing you to LEARN - TEST and move on.
• MindPlanning software is also included, which provides a structured approach to answer planning to ensure your contents answer the questions. 
• Our programmes takes a step-by-step approach through the key topic areas for each paper.
• The structure and assessments, ensure that Open Learning students are able to achieve the same standards as those students attending classroom courses.

Open Learning for Resit students

Traditionally students who have found themselves resitting a paper they have sat by Distance or Open Learning, will be encouraged to use the same material for the next exam sitting or perhaps will continue with their studies alone.  

At FBT our Resit Open Learning Course will provide you with Resit study notes and a structured resit programme which takes into account the experience and knowledge that you have already gained.
